Yes! Sign Together UK is a Signature-accredited learning centre. Our BSL Levels 1, 2 and 3 follow Signature specifications and prepare you for nationally recognised BSL qualifications

BSL Level 1 — Beginner

BSL for Beginners | Signature-accredited Level 1 course
📍 Locations: Oxford · Swindon · Witney · Banbury

A 14-week introductory British Sign Language course designed to build confidence, practical communication skills and a strong foundation in BSL. Ideal for beginners learning for everyday communication, work, or leisure.
 

You’ll learn:

  • Alphabet & fingerspelling

  • Everyday vocabulary & simple conversations

  • Numbers, dates, time & directions

  • Family, food, hobbies and more

BSL Level 2 — Intermediate

Signature-accredited BSL course for expanding your skills


Take your British Sign Language skills to the next level with our BSL Level 2 course, ideal for intermediate learners who want to become more fluent and confident in everyday conversations. You’ll build on your Level 1 foundation to expand vocabulary, grammar and real-world signing skills.
 

What you’ll work on:

  • Interactive conversation skills

  • Expanded everyday vocabulary

  • Fluent expression in topics like work, travel, shopping and home life

  • Practising discussions and presentations in BSL

BSL Level 3 — Advanced

Signature-accredited advanced British Sign Language course

📍 Oxford (September start) · Swindon (January start)
 

Our Level 3 BSL course is designed for confident signers who want to develop advanced language skills and a deeper understanding of Deaf life, culture and society. This immersive, in-person course builds fluency, accuracy and confidence for professional or further study pathways.
 

Course overview:

  • 30 weeks 

  • Fully signed, in-person teaching

  • Taught by deaf tutor Richard Walklett

  • Leads to Signature Level 3 BSL qualification
     

You’ll explore:

  • Deaf history, culture & identity

  • Education, health & social issues

  • Real-world discussion and presentation skills

  • Advanced grammar and expression

How our BSL courses are delivered

Our British Sign Language courses are taught in supportive groups to encourage confidence, interaction and real-world signing from the very first session.

  • Weekly live classes, taught in person.

  • Structured learning with clear progression from Level 1 through to Level 3

  • Strong focus on signing with others, not just memorising vocabulary

  • Taught by experienced tutors including Deaf and hard of hearing tutors.

  • Friendly, inclusive environments designed to build confidence


Our teaching focuses on usable, everyday BSL that supports real communication.

1-to-1 BSL tuition (limited availability)

Alongside our group courses, we offer limited one-to-one British Sign Language tuition for learners who need more targeted support.

1-to-1 sessions are most suitable for:
 

  • Exam preparation or revision

  • Catch-up support alongside a group course

  • Learners with specific professional or access need
     

Due to tutor availability, one-to-one tuition is offered by enquiry only and may not always be available.
